Your personal blog

use your personal blog to create your research and early planning portfolio
limited paper evidence will be submitted
you should include analysis, video links and images, web links etc
make it as visual and analytical as possible
keep it focussed - quantity is not the issue here

your lessons will be the springboard for your research and planning. the lessons are planned to inspire your research in various directions and to get your planning underway

your personal blog will replace the individual research and planning section of your portfolio as far as possible. they will provide a significant part of the evidence for the individual contribution marks

your blog URL will be sent to the exam board as evidence of work completed.

areas to research:
music videos
album covers
tracks
a chosen artist or artists
a music video director
a chosen genre
other inspirational media or art
promotion and marketing case studies - how an artist has used myspace, for example
indie record labels
a music channel, station or magazine

early planning:
your own initial ideas for tracks, music videos, shots, actors, locations, treatments etc

not too much detail here as the majority of planning should be done by the group and shown on the group blog

the posts on your personal blog are to demonstrate evidence of your personal research, ideas and suggestions before the group settle on a final idea

once the group have chosen a track and the project is underway, you will all post to the main project blog. however you can still continue to add extra stuff to your personal blog.
